Donation Terms

1. Transfer of ownership. By consigning an item to Starwores, you are donating it outright. Ownership transfers to Starwores immediately upon our acceptance of the item, and it becomes property of Starwores to auction at our discretion.
2. Right to sell. Starwores has the sole right to photograph, catalogue, set an opening bid or estimate for, market, and sell the donated item through auction on this site.
3. No return of item. Once accepted, donated items will not be returned to the donor for any reason, including if the item does not sell or sells below expectation.
4. No guaranteed price. Starwores does not guarantee a minimum sale price, a winning bid, or that the item will sell at all. If an item does not receive bids, Starwores may re-list it, donate it elsewhere, or dispose of it at our discretion.
5. Proceeds to charity. 100% of the winning bid (hammer price) for your item will be transferred to the charity you designate at the time of consignment, minus any payment-processing fees charged by our payment provider. Starwores does not retain a commission on winning bids.
6. Charity designation is final. The charity you designate at consignment cannot be changed after the item is listed for auction.
7. Tax documentation. Donors are responsible for their own tax reporting. Starwores can provide a donation receipt on request, but does not provide tax or legal advice on the value or deductibility of a donated item.
8. Authenticity. By consigning an item, you confirm you are its rightful owner and have the right to donate it, and that any claims you make about its origin or provenance are accurate to your knowledge.
